In early 1990s, a Maoist student leader interacted with Majdoor Samachar. Together with his friends he left the Maoist organisation and in the university they formed a Group Against Wage Slavery. Questions on representation and delegation were raised by the group. The student who had initiated the process, left for higher studies to Germany. The group in the university dispersed.
From Germany, he has maintained relations with Majdoor Samachar. He settled in Germany and is in academics. This friend has been attempting a synthesis between Primitive Anarchism and Majdoor Samachar. He arranged an interaction in Faridabad with Primitive Anarchist theoretician John Zerzen during his 2012 visit to India. What follows this introduction is Majdoor Samachar/Kamunist Kranti write-up that we presented during that interaction.
## We had received a review copy of Michael Seidman’s, “Workers Against Work” (1991). The book is a study of workers activities in Spain and France during 1936. The conclusion of the book is bizarre :
Workers are against work. So, as long as work is necessary, the need for the state is indispensable.
The book has interesting details of anarchist ministers in the Republican Government in Spain. An anarchist was Minister of Labour in the government. 1936 decrees of the anarchist Labour Minister against workers in Spain are similar to the decrees of the Bolsheviks against workers in Russia during 1918-23 period.
Anarchists glorify their role in Spain in 1936. In interactions, when the role of the anarchist Labour Minister has been brought up, silence has been the response of anarchists, that we have come across.
## After publication of our, “a ballad against work” in 1996, we have had interactions with different strands of anarchists. Majdoor Samachar/Kamunist Kranti reading of anarchism is :
Anarchism does not seem to have a reading of the social process. Anarchism does not seem to have a social subject, a radical social subject. So, anarchists seem to be doomed to endless preach-teach and/or propaganda by actions.
